The vision for this project was to create a better connection between the home and backyard while preparing for a future deck extension.

After finding their dream French doors second-hand on Marketplace, the clients wanted to incorporate them into their Queensland cottage while maintaining its character. We installed the French doors and built wide Merbau stairs to provide safe and practical backyard access until the future deck is completed.

The original handles weren't lockable, so we returned once a new gold lockable handle set had arrived to complete the finishing touches.

The result is a brighter, more functional space with improved natural light, direct backyard access, and clear visibility across the yard so the family can keep an eye on their daughter while she plays.
