This front verandah was transformed by removing the aged timber decking and cast-iron balustrades and replacing them with new Merbau decking, matching hardwood stair treads and a custom Hamptons-style timber balustrade. A full-height vertical timber batten screen was added beside the entrance, creating an architectural feature while providing a greater sense of privacy and definition to the verandah.
